Service description:
Specialist community rehab team for patients with brain injury. Priority given to traumatic brain injury and younger patients with complex therapy needs. Supported by clinical psychologists and specialist OT and part time manager with access to Rehabilitation Medicine and services at Headway Dorset and DHUFT (Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust) vocational rehabilitation services (Shelley Rd, Bournemouth).
Exclusion criteria:
Under 16 years. Older patients with multiple co morbidity and/or frailty. Patients whose needs are better met by psychiatric services. Stroke
